Gauge Proposal Template:
Summary:
Add a new network Kroma, a layer2 on ETH based out of Korea.
Describe what this proposal is about
Kroma is starting off with an Optimistic Rollup, but will migrate to ZK Rollup in 2H 2024. We are
backed by WEMADE, a Korean gaming company which is listed in the Korean stock market. We expect 100+ games to be onboarded on our chain after mainnet launch in September. Wemade has its own chain called WEMIX and the accumulated wallet number is ~9m accounts. So we expect a smoothe transition of most of the accounts to the Kroma chain. WEMADE recently launched a new game called “Nightcrows” and its
ACU (Accumulated Registered User): 2.5m
CCU (Concurrent User): 160K
Daily Revenue: ~USD 1.5m
In short, Kroma is expected to have many users on the network since mainnet launch and we would like to partnership with Curve and request for Curve to go multichain on our network. It would be beneficial to Curve where Kroma’s game users could flow into Curve and use the swap functions of Curve and will boost trading volume for Curve.

Protocol Description:
Kroma is a layer2 on ETH with an Optimistic Rollup with ZK fault proof, but will migrate to ZK Rollup in 2H 2024
Describe the proposed asset(s), the corresponding protocol(s), and historic prices of the token (price must come from the source of highest liquidity).
Token issuance will be in 1H 2024
Motivation:
Explain why this pool needs incentivization
Specifications:
Please answer in a short and clear manner.
-
Governance: Provide current information on the protocol’s governance structure. Provide links to any admin and/or multisig addresses, and describe the powers afforded to these addresses. If there are plans to change the governance system in the future, please explain.
-
Oracles: Does the protocol rely on external oracles? If so, provide details about the oracles and their implementation in the protocol.
-
Audits: Provide links to audit reports and any relevant details about security practices.
Audit starts in July. -
Centralization vectors: Is there any component of the protocol that has centralization vectors? E.g. if only 1 dev manages the project, that is a centralized vector. If price oracles need to be updated by a bot, that is a centralized vector. If liquidations are done by the protocol, that is also a centralization vector.
-
Market History: Has the asset observed severe volatility? In the case of stablecoins, has it depegged? In the case of an unpegged asset, have there been extreme price change events in the past? Provide specific information about the Curve pool: how long has it been active, TVL, historical volume?
