[Grant Application] CGA #39 - SyntiFi


Syntifi is building the next generation of financial crime prevention tool, a cross-chain risk intelligence tool. They believe that with the great power of decentralized finance comes the great responsibility of ensuring that no financial crime, money laundering or terrorist financing is taking place. For this reason, some crucial capabilities of their tool is made available open source.

Andre is an entrepreneur with a demonstrated history of working in the financial services industry and who now lives between the tech and finance worlds both worlds. Strong business development professional skilled in Quantitative modeling, Data analytics and Software development.

Remo has a background in finance and fintech. He has experience in derivatives trading, and structuring solutions and strategies across European markets.

Project Details:

This tool could set the founding stone to ensure that any token entering any curve pool is compliant and not related to any criminal transaction in the past. A commercially available solution similar to this proposal is Chainalysis. However, Syntifi believes in an open source business model. They will produce open source software available for the community.

They have a couple of developers assisting them on this project and have been supported by DevXDao to integrate the Casper ($CSPR) token in their system.

Number of phases: 3

  • Phase 1: Integrate an ETH indexer into the system
    Total cost: 5000 EUR
  • Phase 2: Develop the data analytics and compliance APIs
    Total cost: 35000 EUR
  • Phase 3: Front end/dashboard
    Total cost: 20000 EUR

Post-Grant Plans:

Fond of the RedHat approach, the team will support tools being open source to the community with a service layer on top to generate revenues.
